Kempsey Culverts

Mid North Coast Contractors (MNCC) was chosen by Kempsey Shire Council for an important project: improving culverts on rural roads. This work is part of the Australian Government’s “Fixing Country Bridges” scheme, which aims to make bridges and roads safer and more reliable for everyone.

Culverts are tunnels under the road that let water flow through, so roads don’t get flooded. Our job was to fix or replace old culverts to make sure they work well, especially during heavy rains. We worked on several rural roads, making each one safer and better for the people who use them.

This project was not just about making the roads safer; it was also about helping communities. Better roads mean easier travel for everyone, from school buses to farmers moving their products. Thanks to the “Fixing Country Bridges” scheme and our teamwork with Kempsey Shire Council, these rural areas are now better connected and safer.
